Buffalo fans will love Gorges, he is a great guy who's always giving is 150% for the club, great leader, always give straightforward answer to the journalist and he helps in the community - he did a lot of visit in child hospital in Montreal.

Good luck for next season, lots of talent in Buffalo

he's right. real class-act guy. fan-favorite. great locker-room guy, also.

too bad his contract stinks, though.

Although everyone loves Gorges with his leadership and hardworking attitude, the main reason he was traded was because he is most certainly replaceable at a cheaper cost. He gave his 150% every game but in the end, he is not a top 4 defenseman in the NHL. He gets pushed around way too easily, average skating, okay size, and blocks shots. Is that really worth 4M? I think not. I am very glad MB made these moves because I was really afraid he would fall in the trap and keep them small players like Gorges and Gionta! SIZE DOES MATTER!
